Senior Accountant

£50-60K pa Bonus Bens

Hybrid working , Glasgow.

Elite Audit & Finance recruitment are exclusively representing a fast-growing Accountancy firm in the UK with new offices based in Glasgow. The new role will head up the office in Glasgow and act as the Senior Accountant.

There are two direct reports to manage and mentor as well as oversee the Scottish client base in particular construction and property clients. If you are an experienced and qualified accountant who loves turning numbers into insights and building lasting client relationships, this is your chance to join a fast-paced exciting Accountant practice.

Responsibilities;

• Leading meetings, answer queries and translate complex figures into clear business advice.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, VAT returns and Corporation tax returns
• Manage your team’s workload to accommodate deadlines and KPI targets.
• Responsible for spreadsheets, sales ledgers and journals
• Manage two Accounts Assistants
• Craft tailored commentary that helps clients boost performance and profitability, adding real value.

The hours are flexible and will offer hybrid work ideally 2-3 days in the office . The hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (flexible working available with core hours from 10 am to 4 pm).

Your Experience

• ACA, CA, ACCA qualified minimum 5 years, with experience within Construction /property clients highly desirable
• Experience of working in a previous practice environment is essential.
• Xero and Sage systems accounting experience.
• Process driven mindset.
• Clear written & verbal communication.
