Senior Accounts Payable

Elite Finance Recruitment are hiring for a Financial Services firm whom are now seeking a Senior Accounts Payable professional - this role has oversight of two accounts payable assistants. Also responsible for some Accounts Receivable functions too.
The role:You will head up the team that is responsible for the Accounts Payable function as well as some Accounts Receivable tasks, supporting the business with all aspects of supplier management, invoice processing and payments.
As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day function of the team, ensuring the team are keeping to the group's daily/weekly/monthly deadlines. You will also be the first point of escalation for any suppliers and employees.
Duties include:
- Supervise and manage the overall function of the Accounts Payable team. This is both a coaching and "hands on" approach to the necessary workloads.
- Supervisory duties in respect of direct reports to include performance appraisals, training of all new hires on processing standards and procedures, allocating and reviewing all daily work assignments
- Coordinate and review the Accounts Receivable invoices and compile back up for monthly recharge invoices
- Responsible for Accounts Payable month end closing procedures
- Create new and streamline existing procedures
- Dealing with queries arising from suppliers
- Assisting with audits/reviews by preparing/providing source data
Profile
Previous experience in a hands on Accounts Payable role with previous supervisory experience of a small team.
