- Description
- Senior FP&A Analyst, London (Hybrid) - Tech company - £75K + Bens - We are looking for an exceptional candidate (ACA qualified) who is excited about a move into a senior role within a tech business with enormous potential for social impact but in a dynamic, commercial context. - Duties and responsibilities : - The FP&A function will be a new addition to the Finance team and the company. As a result, you will be responsible for creating and implementing all necessary planning and analysis systems and processes in the business, building upon any work that exists already. One of your first tasks will be to establish a Metrics Dashboard for the business which will require partnering with leaders of all teams in order to understand their areas. The company outsource basic management accounting, statutory accounts, corporation tax, payroll and VAT to a specialist Xero accounting firm. - They also outsource their R&D tax credit claims to a specialist adviser. As a result, they have a small existing finance team comprising of the CFO and a Management Accountant, with a split focus of (i) working closely with advisers and reviewing their work and (ii) financial and commercial analysis. You will supervise and support the Management Accountant in their work which comprises: - Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts - Preparation of customer invoices and approval of bills - Reviewing and making payments, including salaries, expenses and supplier invoices - Calculating and paying commissions - Managing the company credit and debit cards - Credit control Further responsibilities - Designing and implementing a metrics reporting system that covers all key parts of the business - Assisting the CFO in establishing KPIs for all teams, and tracking and reporting these - Preparing an annual financial plan and reporting performance against this plan on a monthly basis ? Producing the finance section of the board reports - Working with key teams to track their actual spend versus budget - Preparing P&L and cash forecasts on a quarterly basis - Supporting the CFO with statutory reporting - Managing the annual R&D tax credit claim process - Providing commercial analysis and insight to facilitate effective business decisions operational teams as well as external stakeholders - Required skills and experience: - Chartered Accountant (Ideally Top 4), with 3+ years of experience (post qualification) - 3+ years' financial analysis experience - Must have tech sector experience - Experience and sound knowledge of SAAS business model - Advanced knowledge of Excel - Advanced knowledge of Xero - Degree educated with a minimum of a 2.1 - Advanced knowledge of Looker or equivalent BI tool - Please apply with your CV for more information on the role.
